Ryan, this is fantastic. I love how you weave together historical information, biblical truths, and practical, tangible ways to apply all of this to our lives. Each of these components is necessary for us to come to a place of understanding, acceptance, and holistic healing. Your perspective is balanced and so very insightful. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and HOPE through these uncertain times!
Hey Shauna, I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter. I have lots of experience with this in my own family. I’m glad you were comforted and bit and please know I’ll be praying!
Our youngest is battling depression and severe anxiety disorder. She tried to switch medications, and the side effects were unbearable for her yesterday, and we wound up visiting the emergency room. It certainly seemed like a storm engulfing her, and I felt helpless as a mom and as a nurse. She felt better after talking with a social worker in the emergency room, and decided she felt ok with going home. Last night she finally slept well, and I am thankful. Jesus was walking with her (though she may not consciously agree with that at the moment). Your words here are comforting for me as well; remembering that Jesus had to rest too is oddly reassuring. I can't speak the waves into calm, but He can. I just have to keep hanging on.

Thanks, Krissy! Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback!
And this one (a bit shorter):

so good. Reminds me of this Andy Stanley sermon:

What a comforting reminder that we are known, held, and not forgotten in our storms of life. Thank you for these invitations today.
You’re so welcome! I’m glad they were encouraging!
