I know this is nerdy, but I’m obsessed with good paper and pens. So to that end (and based on our current journaling series), tell me what kind of journal you’re currently using? Analog/digital? What brand/app?
I’m currently using a Karst Stone Paper I picked up at Barnes & Noble and I love it.
This is such a fun topic! I use a big fat spiral notebook I got from Hobby lobby and I’m on my fourth one. I obsess over pens with different colored inks. Medium point. However, if I’m journaling, I do so in either black or blue and it always has to be a fine point. I don’t Know that I will ever transition to an online journal or use a journaling app because I still keep a paper calendar rather than maintain one on my iPhone Thanks for this! So interesting to read everybody’s responses.
Thanks for the comment! I'm so specific about pens. I use the pilot G2 most frequently and only the 07. I hate the fine point so much and I don't know why...hahahaha. I can't do digital either. I've tried a few apps and I just have to use paper and pen.
Spiritual journal is Leuchtturm1917 with Sailor fountain pen with fine point. Work is a Midori notebook in leather cover and Esterbrook fountain pen with medium nib. Dot grid always. And then digital is 750words.com and filed with Obsidian app.
My favorites have always been big, giant, spiral bound notebooks!

I’ve never seen 750 words! I’m intrigued
It is based on Morning Pages from Julia Cameron. Three pages of stream on conscious writing. Just in digital form.
I gotta do a deep dive into this. Thanks for the recommendation!
Shinola Detroit has the best paper I’ve ever used in a journal
I LOVE Shinola. Do you prefer lined or blank?
I like the lined ones
