I was taught this discipline as centering prayer at a monastery about a decade ago. Silence & solitude are the way. A great new way to frame it. Thanks.
Yes yes yes. This is it. 👏👏 I've been experiencing this myself the past year as God has been teaching me to just sit with Him and be aware of His presence. It's so satisfying, filling, and restful. He loves to just be with us even if we're not talking. 🤍🙌
I walk almost every day. I used to listen to music, a podcast, or make a phone call, but recently it's been nice to have the quiet you have described, to think or pray silently, and the walks that are the most restoring are the ones without the multi-tasking.

Hey Will, centering prayer has been a great gift to me as well. Thanks so kind for reading and dropping a comment!

So glad I’m not alone in this experience!
Great read.
Thanks for reminding us to seek solitude & silence.
Of course. Thanks for reading

I’ve done this too, Chuck. Walking sometimes help me be more present as well.
Wow! Thank you so much. That’s very encouraging!
